This unique ballpoint pen has been crafted using bog oak extracted from a site in West Ukraine, 🇺🇦 this wood is anything from 1000 to 6000 years old and is incredibly dark and featured.
Bog Oak has been used for centuries for jewellery and various crafts, and is coloured from the natural sediments that are found in the bogs which form due to trees and other vegetation being flooded in areas due to various climatic nd other factors.
Bog Oak varies in colour from lighter pink tinged oak right through to dark almost black, often dependent on the time it’s been underground. This wood is very dark so I’d speculate that it’s been underground for a very long time.
This pen is a nice size and thickness and is a real joy to hold and use, it has good balance and weight. It’s finished in chrome and black fittings and takes a Parker-type refill. It has a twist action.
It also comes complete with a velvet sleeve in a colour of your choice.
This pen is also certificated as to origin. It’s a great gift and a historic item in todays world.
